Aerosmith - 1975 Toys In The Attic
We talk about 1975 and we talk about Aerosmith's arrival in the big leagues. Their status as arena rockers was more or less confirmed by this stage, and it become the Boston based outfit's first genuine record with two top 40 hits in the bag.

Aerosmith - 1976 Rocks
This is Aerosmith's finest hour. Along with 'Toys In The Attic' this was the pinnacle of Aerosmith.

Aerosmith - 1977 Draw The Line
If I had to choose one Aerosmith album to take on a deserted Island, 'Draw The Line' would be it.. there is some excellent material found on 'Draw The Line' including the title track with Joe Perry's sleazy slide guitar work.

Aerosmith - 1978 Live Bootleg
The American public were still on Aerosmith's side during 1978 and into 19729, the album reaching #13 in the Billboard charts. Is it a classic live album in the conventional sense? Probably not. There are far too many imperfections for it to be considered as such.

Aerosmith - 1982 Rock In A Hard Place
'Rock In A Hard Place' met with minimal success, as without Joe Perry many thought the band should call it a day. The reality was that Aerosmith recorded their best album since 1976's 'Rocks', a firm album of bruising hard rock they haven't approached since.

Aerosmith - 1987 Permanent Vacation
By 1987, Aerosmith had made a move toward a hard rock/AOR hybrid sound. On 'Permanent Vacation', they chose to distill their sound and approach into hard AOR, a good move and mostly well executed.

Aerosmith - 2001 Just Push Play
'Just Push Play' does nothing to suggest that the Boston rockers are convincingly back to their Columbia Records heyday of snarling, classic rock, nor does it confirm that Aerosmith are just spewing out more of the commercially minded rock..

Aerosmith - 2004 Honkin' On Bobo
Aerosmith decided to record an album of early blues classics by artists such as Willie Dixon and 'Big' Joe Williams among others. In the process they have rediscovered their original raw sound, sounding at last like the rockers fans came to expect.

Aerosmith - 2012 Music From Another Dimension
Upon hearing this album late last year I swore to myself I wouldn't review it, simply because it was so bad on first impression. But here we are a couple of months later and upon a few more listens to this long-delayed album from the Boston rockers I really couldn't help myself.

The Essential Series - 2017 US Hard Rock (Volume 1) by Dtabachn
The early days of American Hard Rock produced some classic LP's. Here's ten of the best as cherry-picked by Dave Tabachnik. And it's only Volume 1, with more to come..
